In this hands-on, service-oriented role , you will focus on Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) startups, modifications, preventive maintenance, and emergency / warranty support. You will provide field-based technical service while progressing into higher-level Field Service Engineer responsibilities with advanced training and experience.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform ATS preventive maintenance, startup, and basic troubleshootingVerify communications links (e.g., Modbus, TCPIP) with Russelectric equipmentWrite and submit Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for ATS-related workGenerate and submit timely field reports to customers and internal teamsTrack time entry and expenses accuratelyAssist with installation of 480VAC / 12.47KVAC switchgear, ATS, breakers, and generator system controlsComply with all safety regulations and company policiesProvide excellent customer communication and manage expectationsBe available on call 24 / 7 as requiredRequirements
Basic Qualifications :
3+ years of field service experienceTraining in electrical theory / technologies (including prior military service)Experience in power distribution, AC / DC voltage circuit theory, and troubleshootingDiesel power generation and control systems experience (including paralleling systems)Experience with switchgear testing and medium / low voltage electrical systemsAbility to read electrical schematics and blueprintsLegally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications :
3-5 years of experience in ATS industryHigh school diploma or GEDExperience with automatic transfer switch testingFamiliarity with relevant codes and standardsStrong project management, organizational, and client relationship skillsSelf-directed and highly customer-focusedValid driver's license in good standing
