Title : Mechanical Engineering Co-op (January - May 2026, August - December 2026)

Location(s) : Charleston, Tennessee; Freeport, Texas; McIntosh, Alabama; Niagara Falls, New York; Plaquemine, Louisiana; St. Gabriel, Louisiana

Salary : $30.00 / hour

Housing Stipend Available

Focus : The Mechanical Engineering Co-op supports maintenance and production with reliability, design, and maintenance of mechanical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role can serve as the engineering representative on small capital projects including justification, obtaining approval, ordering, and installation processes and equipment.

Mechanical Engineering Co-Op Essential Job Functions :

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects throughout the term, to be defined at the beginning of the rotation based on department and business need
• Provide reliability leadership for rotating (pumps, compressors) and fixed (heat exchangers, piping systems and process tanks) equipment
• Support maintenance in development of policies and procedures for preventative and predictive maintenance
• Participate in plant turnarounds, update P&IDs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
