Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Municipal Law Attorney to provide legal counsel and representation to our municipality. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of municipal law, regulations, and procedures, and will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to municipal officials and departments on various issues related to municipal law.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect the interests of the municipality.
• Advise on zoning matters and assist in the development and enforcement of zoning ordinances.
• Assist in the preparation and review of resolutions and ordinances for municipal meetings.
• Represent the municipality in public hearings and other legal proceedings related to municipal law.
• Conduct research and stay updated on legal developments in municipal law and related areas.
• Facilitate public meetings and ensure compliance with open meetings laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other legal and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
