Become a Labor & Industries Electrical Construction Inspector 1 and start making a difference by providing safety inspections of electrical installations! Additionally, help establish a level playing field for honest contractors by fighting fraud and abuse in support of eliminating the State's underground economy. These positions will be considered In-Training for 24 months . Within this period, you will learn and apply L&I rules, policies, state laws, and best practices in relation to electrical inspections. By the end of your In-Training period, you will be a full-fledged L&I Electrical Inspector 2 with the ability to :

You will be required to take an Electrical Program Technical Assessment as part of the application process for Electrical Construction Inspector positions. This is an open book assessment that covers the NEC, WAC, RCW, Electrical theory and wiring diagrams. Applicants must supply all of the materials they intend to use to include but not limited to codebooks and calculators. Computers and cell phones will not be allowed.
Note : The assessment will take up to 7 hours including a 1-hour lunch break.
