This is a RN Travel position. You must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Position Overview

Type of Position : Travel

Description : Position Overview

Join a dynamic Observation unit caring for adult patients who require additional monitoring to determine appropriate treatment pathways. This fast-paced environment serves 20 to 27 patients daily with an average length of stay of 27 hours, featuring 24 / 7 provider coverage.

Schedule Details

48 hours per week - ONLY 4x12 hour shifts

Days, Evening, Nights, Rotating Shift Schedules available

On Call and Call Back responsibilities

Charge duties as needed

Holiday and Weekend coverage as required

Job Responsibilities

Provide care for adult patients needing additional observation to determine if admission is required or if safe discharge home is appropriate

Work in a fast-paced environment with high patient turnover

Care for a diverse adult population including emergency observation and admitted boarding patients

Manage patients ranging from short stay to full admissions

Collaborate with 24 / 7 provider coverage team

Required Qualifications

RN License (NY License ONLY)

Two years of Med / Surg Experience

Telemetry experience required

BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)

ACLS certification (AHA ONLY)

Preferred Qualifications

NIHSS certification preferred
