Outreach Manager – Center Point DAAC

Position Summary :

The Outreach Manager oversees community engagement efforts, supervises outreach staff, maintains external partnerships, and ensures the delivery of high-quality outreach services. This role supports program goals by building strong community relationships, managing outreach operations, and working closely with agency leadership.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

Community Outreach & Engagement :

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with referral sources, community organizations, public agencies, and civic groups.
  • Represent the organization at community events, collaborative meetings, and outreach activities.
  • Coordinate facility tours, educational sessions, and presentations for community partners.
  • Act as a liaison between Center Point DAAC and external stakeholders to promote services and increase referrals.
  • Identify opportunities for new community partnerships and outreach initiatives.

Supervision & Team Management :

  • Directly supervise outreach staff, providing leadership, direction, and day-to-day oversight.
  • Manage staff scheduling, task assignments, and ensure appropriate staffing for events and outreach activities.
  • Oversee staff onboarding, training, and professional development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address performance issues with support from Human Resources.
  • Monitor and approve attendance, leave, and timesheets in accordance with agency policies.
  • Program Development & Quality Oversight :

  • Ensure outreach activities align with program goals and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor outreach strategies and recommend adjustments to improve engagement and performance.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes and audits.
  • Collaborate with leadership on special projects and community-focused initiatives.
  • Reporting & Communication :

  • Track outreach activities and prepare regular reports for leadership.
  • Provide timely updates on outreach performance and community trends.
  • Prepare external reports as required by funding sources or regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal departments and leadership.
  • Agency Leadership & Collaboration :

  • Promote teamwork among agency leadership and program teams.
  • Participate in management meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Maintain compliance with agency policies, professional codes of conduct, and licensing requirements.
  • Support leadership in achieving program objectives and expanding community reach.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by agency leadership.
  • Required Skills & Abilities :

  • Strong supervisory skills and experience managing staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage community partners.
  • Ability to track and report outreach data and outcomes.
  • Organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) Required.
  • Education & Experience Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Public Health, Behavioral Health, Communications, or a related field (Preferred).
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in outreach, community relations, or similar programs.
  • Experience working in behavioral health or social service settings is preferred.
  • Work Environment :

  • Based in an office setting with regular travel to community sites and events.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work, depending on outreach schedules.

  • Occasionally adjust or move objects up to 25 pounds in all directions.
  • Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Constantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and / or fingers.
  • Occasionally work in noisy environments.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing.
  • Infrequent medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Accurate and clear vision and hearing, including close vision requirements for computer work.
  • Ability to function effectively within a busy working environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while responding to crisis situations.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
  • Ability to operate agency vehicles and provide transportation as needed.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
  • Work Environment :

  • Moderate noise (e.g., business office with computers, phone, printers, light traffic).
  • Ability to work in a confined area.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
