CVOR Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Ann Arbor, Michigan 48109

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract (On-Site)

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 16, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2750 - $2820

Hours per Week : 40

Shift : Day shifts, 4x10-hour (06 : 30–16 : 00 or 12 : 00–22 : 30), with options for rotating 2x8s & 2x12s or 5x8s; shift rotation required

Call Requirements : 2-4 weeknights and 1-2 weekends per 4-week schedule; no call shift longer than 12 hours

CVOR RN Qualifications

Active Michigan RN license required (compact licenses not accepted)

Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR Registered Nurse experience

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Scrub experience at level 3 or 4 (must be documented on skills checklist)

BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR certification preferred

Trauma Level I or II experience preferred

Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)

Two manager or supervisor references required (Charge RN references not accepted)

Ability to complete onsite orientation modules

CVOR Nurse Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative care for adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical patients, including high-acuity and transplant cases

Assist with advanced CVOR procedures : CABG, heart transplant, ECMO, MAZE, LVAD / RVAD, aortic aneurysm repair, VATS, lobectomy, esophagectomy, lung transplant, AAA, EVAR, carotid endarterectomy, and more

Operate advanced surgical technology, including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System

Participate in a flexible call program with manageable shift lengths

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team in a positive work environment

Maintain infection control standards and ensure accurate specimen handling and labeling

Complete required onsite orientation modules
