Must-Have :

• Telemetry experience
• Neuro Stepdown, PCU / DOU / IMC / Stepdown experience

Description :

Neuro Tele RN position available.

Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Every other weekend required.

ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.

Candidates must have previous telemetry and neuro stepdown experience.

Minimum of 1 year of experience is required; no first-time travelers will be considered.

Patient diagnoses include stroke, neurosurgery, trauma, general med / surg, and IMC / stepdown level of care.

Special procedures include lumbar drains, NIHSS, and stroke education.

The unit is a busy stroke / neuro / trauma step-down unit.

NIHSS certification is mandatory.

Telemetry experience is required.

The usual patient assignment is 1 : 4 but may be higher depending on available resources.

Candidates must be proficient in managing various medical equipment and protocols.

Experience with accessing and managing ports, central line care, and other critical skills is required.

Knowledge of isolation precautions, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and post-operative care is necessary.

Travel experience is required.

A clean-shaven face is necessary for fit testing of respirators.
