About The Role

Bring your own unique ideas on how to improve and manage our international communities in social media.

Provide high quality and engaging text and visual content for our social media accounts with a focus on Los Angeles.

Drive audience growth and engagement across multiple platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram) by scheduling content, writing copy, and monitoring content and channel performance.

Evaluate and develop engaging and original content that will help boost our footprint, including on-camera presence and voice overs.

Create, plan and implement social media and communication campaigns and strategies.

Stay up-to-date on TikTok and Instagram rules and algorithms.

Align marketing and social media campaigns with the communication strategy across platforms and optimize posts for engagement and search.

Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies and maintain Secret Media Network editorial voice across headlines and copywriting.

Build and strengthen relationships with audience, potential customers, industry professionals and influencers; be open to new digital deals and partnerships.

Collaborate with the Director of Social Media and Editorial Executives to schedule and promote editorial-sponsored content across platforms.

Complete timely qualitative and quantitative analysis / reporting to improve brand recognition.

About You

You have a native level of English; a second language is a plus.

You have a deep passion for digital storytelling and understanding the social media landscape.

You have 3+ years of experience running social media accounts for a newsroom, agency, or brand.

You stay up-to-date with digital technology trends and have a strong understanding of what makes content popular online.

You can identify the right places to find compelling content and adapt to the fast-moving world of a digital startup.

Experience with social media tools like Creators Studio, Storrito, Later; Facebook Ads and other paid platforms are a plus.

Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs.

You have attention to detail, are a critical thinker and problem-solver, and enjoy working in a dynamic team toward shared goals.

You are flexible and quick to pivot in a newsroom environment with breaking news.

Desirable Requirements

Canva mastery and proficiency in editing short, engaging videos.

Experience with design / editing tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut, etc.) is a plus.

Experience in TikTok, YouTube and Twitter is a plus.
