Job Summary
The Accounting Manager supports the maintenance and administration of all accounting systems and records. The Manager assists in the development of accounting policies and procedures, participates in maintaining the organization’s systems and records, and participates or assists in the annual budget preparation. This position oversees accounts payable, grants, accounts receivable, general ledger, cost allocation and cash flow for CHC. This position performs a strategic and hands-on role responsible for contributing to the oversight of the financial operations within Community Health Center of Snohomish County. This position contributes to the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting and accounting processes, while maintaining compliance with nonprofit regulations and internal policies. The Accounting Manager assists with communication to multiple departments—including Payroll, Purchasing, Revenue Cycle, Human Resources, as well as clinical operations to assist with facilitating collaboration to support organizational support and fiscal responsibility. This position provides management and supervision to designated staff.

Education
High school graduate or equivalent.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or in lieu of degree, a combination of equivalent education and work experience.Preferred :

Maintains accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with CHC’s policies and procedures, and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory agencies. Execution of daily accounting tasks, departmental support, and financial integrity.Ensures compliance with CHC’s established internal controls and reviews processes to ensure adequate segregation of duties and internal control environment. Prepares internal financial reports and variance analysis, including month-end and year-end reports.Oversees month-end and year-end close and the reconciliation of all accounts.Reviews all payroll tax reports, W-2’s, 1099’s, workers compensation, gross receipts tax returns, property taxes and all other federal, state and local taxes in connection with payroll and CHC business.Supervises accounting team and promotes process improvements.Assists in the development of accounting policies and procedures, identifies workflow enhancements and supports system integration.Acts as liaison across departments to ensure financial accuracy and support.Assists in preparation of IRS Form 990 and related schedules.Performs financial analysis, projections and special projects as assigned.Prepares audit schedules and works with auditors to complete various periodic audits.
