## Job Description# Principal UX Researcher

  • Lead and mentor the product design team in an iterative, user centered design process
  • Lead research responsibilities on complex, cross-functional projects that span across various domains of work
  • Analyze data from qualitative studies including usability tests, interviews, participatory design, and heuristic evaluations
  • Conduct foundational research to help inform product and design strategy
  • Be a thought leader, collaborating with cross-functional teams in idea generation & exploration
  • Lead the design, execution, and coordination of high-impact research studies (generative, evaluative, in person, remote, moderated, unmoderated, and beyond)
  • Translate research findings into actionable insights and specific design recommendations
  • Partner with Market Research and Consumer Insights and Analytics teams to create a 360 view of user data to inform design
  • Help maintain a well organized and easily accessible database of past research documentation
  • A strong passion for design research, and user centered design
  • Experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative user research
  • Comfort working in an agile development environment, quickly responding to new work requests, and juggling multiple projects simultaneously
  • An innate understanding of the difference between testing for user behavior vs. user preference, and how to design appropriate tests for each
  • Adept at navigating ambiguity and applying research tactics to fill in the gaps and drive clarity
  • Have a knack for triangulating multiple data sources into meaningful insights
  • Stellar communication skills – you can present complex information to audiences ranging from developers to executives and leave them informed and inspired
  • Portfolio of digital product design research with a focus on mobile channels
  • 8+ years of experience in a UXR role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or principal position
