Purpose of the Role
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations across the organization's locations. This includes managing the general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, inventory control, payroll, fixed assets, financial reporting, budgeting, and project management. The role ensures financial integrity and supports strategic decision-making through accurate and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all accounting and financial functions.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Oversee cash management, including the receipt, disbursement, banking, and safeguarding of funds and financial instruments.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, insurance providers, and external auditors to support financial operations.
- Authorize and record disbursement requests in alignment with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Support financial aspects of acquisitions and integration activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation preferred.Minimum of five years of experience in a Controller role.Strong expertise in construction accounting and percentage-of-completion methodology.Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and related accounting practices is a plus.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly Acumatica.#ZRCFS
