Children’s Specialized ABA is designed to address the comprehensive needs of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Join Us as a Payment Posting Specialist

The Payment Posting Specialist is responsible for accurately posting all incoming payments—both electronic (ERAs) and physical—received from payors and patients. This role ensures timely and precise allocation of payments within Central Reach (CR), supports labeling and categorization protocols, manages third-party processing workflows, and maintains high standards of data accuracy across all posting activities. The specialist will also analyze and compile data corrections, support billing and mailing separation needs, and assist with escalated follow-ups when posting anomalies occur.

What You'll Do :

  • Post ERAs and electronic remittances in coordination with the financial team in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring full reconciliation with claim details.
  • Receive, log, and post all physical insurance payments, including checks, correspondence, and remittance documentation.
  • Apply payment and adjustment codes according to established RCM protocols and payer guidelines.
  • Label and categorize items properly within Central Reach following department-defined workflows and documentation standards.
  • Process and record third-party payment batches, ensuring correct assignment of payments to associated claims.
  • Separate and organize all billing mail into appropriate document streams, triage urgency, and assign items to the appropriate department or staff member.
  • Identify, document, and compile data fix needs for review and correction; analyze trends and inconsistencies within posting workflows.
  • Work collaboratively with the RCM Manager and other departments to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely resolution of payment posting discrepancies.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational procedures, payer requirements, and audit standards.
  • Support reporting needs or special projects related to cash posting, reconciliation, and payment trends.

What You'll Need

  • Prior experience in payment posting, including ERAs and physical payment processing, required.
  • ABA billing or RCM experience strongly preferred.
  • Central Reach experience highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payment structures, payer adjustments, EOB interpretation, and insurance correspondence workflows.
  • High attention to detail with strong accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain confidentiality in all financial and patient-related matters.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Work Location & Hours :

    This is a full-time position that can be remote if you currently live in any of these States : FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, VA. The core hours are 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm EST.

    Reasonable Pay Estimate

    A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to : job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and experience equity.
