Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using established assessment tools and observational techniques.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that target both immediate and prolonged communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver direct speech therapy interventions focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care approaches.
  • Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond the clinical environment.
  • Assist with patient evaluations and interventions for those admitted occasionally, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation following all applicable state, federal, and organizational protocols.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with advancements in the field through educational opportunities and peer interactions.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
  • Certifications

  • State licensure to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred : Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities covering all age groups, alongside a profound understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional communication abilities that enhance relationships with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Strong clinical judgment and adept problem-solving skills.
