A CIS Industries Controls Technician specializes in the installation, programming, commissioning, and maintenance of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC controls, often working with pneumatic and electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing control systems to ensure efficient and optimal operation of building environmental systems.
Key Responsibilities
Installation and Commissioning :
Installing and verifying control systems, including hardware and associated software.
Programming :
Programming control systems for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment.
Troubleshooting and Repair :
Diagnosing and repairing issues with complex control systems and their components.
Maintenance :
Performing ongoing maintenance to keep control systems functioning optimally.
Calibration :
Calibrating control systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
System Integration :
Working with building automation systems (BAS) to provide comprehensive control solutions.
Skills and Knowledge Required
Pneumatic and Electrical / Electronic Controls : A strong understanding of how these systems operate and interact.
Building Automation Systems (BAS) : Proficiency in working with BAS to manage and automate building functions.
HVAC Systems : Knowledge of complex HVAC equipment, such as Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems.
Technical Aptitude : The ability to read and interpret technical information and apply it to real-world problems.
