About the Position The Production Manager is responsible for the entire production processes, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production facility. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of food production systems and regulations. The Production Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive productivity, optimize resources, and maintain strict adherence to quality control measures.

The primary duties of a Production Manager include, but isn't limited to :

Promotes and encourages a safe, positive, productive work environment.

Lead and supervise a team of production staff, providing coaching, guidance, and training as needed. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Continuously assess production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflows.

Resolves all production and quality problems that occur.

Assist in the development of production budgets and manage production costs within approved budgets.

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality or safety.

Manages staffing assignments for the shift to achieve plant production and labor objectives.

Anticipates and determines causes of delays in shift operations and takes appropriate action to meet production schedules.

Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure production performance. Analyze data, identify trends, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure targets are met.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of production activities.

Ensure a safe working environment by promoting and enforcing adherence to health and safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.

The ideal candidate

Associate or bachelor's degree in food science, engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in a production management role within the food industry.

Bilingual in English and Spanish. (needed)

Strong knowledge of food production processes, quality control systems, and relevant regulations (e.g., HACCP, FDA).

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address production issues promptly.

Proficient in using production management software and tools for planning, scheduling, and reporting.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and convey information clearly.

Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving production targets.

Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and demands.

Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work off shifts to ensure alignment across all production teams.
