Help identify and plan for the personnel and functional management support required to execute the acquisition strategy.
Direct the preparation of documents, specifications, requirements, criteria, standards, and parameters of the program to assure all planning is fully integrated with overall Navy efforts.
Contribute to the determination of resource needs and allocation of resources (funding, manpower, facilities, etc.) for life-cycle management of the assigned program.
Maintain liaison between various activities and assure schedules are maintained and that difficulties that create problems are identified and that steps are taken to investigate and resolve them.
Interpret program management policies and procedures to others as required as well as provide advice to higher-level officials on program status and on problems that require resolution or adjustments that are needed in plans and schedules.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

This is a bargaining unit position.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and / or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
MSP / PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
This position is covered under Public Law 114-264, the Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA).
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following :
Analyzing needs and synthesizing requirements information to develop requirements for program initiatives and plans.
Serving as a key participant in the development of an acquisition strategy that serves as the framework for integrating functional activities essential to the acquisition effort and serving as the basis for specific program management documents.
Participating with key personnel in the program office who are responsible for defining the goals of the program and working with them in preparing comprehensive program plans for accomplishing program goals and schedules.
Evaluating the impact of new resource levels such as budget cuts or increases and updated estimates of resource requirements to take into account new or revised objectives, technical capabilities, and new acquisition strategies.
Serving as the central point of contact within the program office for all matters concerning the assigned program(s) while interpreting program management policies and procedures to provide valuable feedback to higher-level officials on program status and problems.
