Warehouse Shipper / Receiver (Day Shift)

Description

Who we are looking for :

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior success as a Shipper / Receiver or equivalent position at Atkore International and experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

What you will do :

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Knows and follows plant safety rules and wears proper PPE
• Knows and follows yard and dock loading / unloading safety rules and procedures
• Able to locate, accurately count, and package products for shipment
• Inspect products and packaging for damage
• Package, palletize and bundle product for shipment using means appropriate for method of transportation
• Proficient with all sorts of material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks, and banders
• Cycle count product
• Accurately receive and record inbound freight shipments
• Correctly identify and put away purchased / manufactured fittings
• Aware of overstock areas
• Load out customer will calls and other docked van freight
• Unload product from flatbeds and docked van freight
• Able to correctly tie down loaded flat racks
• Packing accuracy must be at or exceed an acceptable level
• Perform general warehouse duties and cleanup
• All other assigned duties
