We are seeking an experienced Med-Tech / CNA to join our team! We are a small community that values a positive culture and appreciates our staff. Compensation ranges from $12 to $15 per hour, depending on experience, position, and shifts.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Medication Tech coordinates resident care related to medications by collaborating with all departments, pharmacies, medical staff, families, and administrative personnel. This role ensures medication supervision, documentation, and adherence to legal and community standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable, energetic, and works closely with the Community RN, Executive Director, and Assistant Director to maintain quality and compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Medication Tech reports to the Community RN, Executive Director, and Assistant Director and is responsible for :
- Demonstrating professionalism and confidentiality in interactions.
- Participating in quality assurance and improvement activities.
- Promoting the facility's core values : compassion, positivity, respect, trust, safety, teamwork, integrity, and efficiency.
- Communicating effectively to ensure resident care quality.
- Providing clear written and oral updates.

- Overseeing medication-related daily operations.

- Staying informed on relevant legal, societal, and environmental factors.

DUTIES
Additional responsibilities include :
Ensuring medication documentation accuracy.Maintaining stocked medication supplies.Communicating medication changes to residents, staff, and families.Coordinating with pharmacies and healthcare providers.Monitoring psychotropic medication use as per physician orders.Controlling medication cart access.Assisting with medication administration in compliance with regulations.Documenting all resident care activities.Regulatory and Legal
Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations, reporting any deficiencies to management and adhering to safety and infection control standards.

Engage in ongoing education, complete orientation, attend staff meetings, participate in care planning, and model professionalism and positive attitude.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.Valid Med Tech certification, CNA, CPR, and First Aid certifications.No felony convictions or convictions for federal fraud.Ability to pass background checks and TB testing.18+ years old.Skills / Abilities
