The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and public works electrical projects. This includes reviewing drawings, specifications, and proposals to determine project scope, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Review bid documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed electrical estimates.
Perform material take-offs and determine labor and equipment requirements.
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
Develop cost summaries and submit complete bid packages on time.
Work with project managers and field teams to review estimates after award for accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain knowledge of current industry pricing, labor productivity rates, and codes.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and clarify scope with general contractors or clients.
Track historical project data for future estimating improvements.
Qualifications :
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an electrical estimator in commercial or public works projects.
Proficiency in estimating software.
Strong understanding of NEC , construction documents, and cost structures.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
C-10 license knowledge or related field experience preferred.
