Job Summary :

The Sr. Application Developer is primarily responsible for developing new large-scale enhancements to Collette’s robust portfolio of existing applications.

This individual will conduct systems analysis and programming activities related to the development, maintenance, and installation of computer programs to support internal business operations as well as design, build, and integrate solutions to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Primary Functions :

• Lead development project designs and solutions. Mentor junior developers
• Support, maintain, and develop core operational applications using a variety of technologies. Duties include documentation, design, programming, testing, securing, and implementation of business applications.
• Provide ongoing operational support, maintenance, technical documentation, consultation and end-user support for home grown and vendor applications.
• Troubleshoot user and security problems as required.
• Design and integrate user-facing elements as well as back-end services and logic within applications. Work closely with users to design, support and maintain on-line functions, screens, and reports.
• Work as a team member with other developers, project managers, and business analysts to deliver value for a given project.
• Stay current with developments in information technology concepts, tools, techniques, and applications. Also requires staying current with policies, business practices and security guidelines and policies.
• Help organize code reviews for and prepare for weekly software releases and assist with coordination of system upgrades.
• Contribute to streamlining existing in-house processes (i.e. data migrations, builds and deployments, new environment setup, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills :

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 8 years of experience required.
• Object-oriented programming (OOP) and development skills using C#, VB.NET, WinForms, Entity Framework / LINQ, WPF, MVVM, ASP.

NET WebForms, ASP.NET, Web API MVC, Xamarin

• Experience in Azure Services including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure App Services.
• Experience in Azure migration projects and tools such as Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery
• Familiarity with front end technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS
• Understanding of source control discipline (knowledge of Bitbucket / Git / Team Foundation a plus)
• Familiarity utilizing and designing web services, including JSON, SOAP, XML, Windows Communication Foundation, WebAPI technologies
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server preferred) and a solid understanding of how to design database tables and write database queries and stored procedures
• Experience with Agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• Experience using workflow software to streamline defects and project development
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Driven by a strong interest in a broad range of development technologies
• Designing thoughtful interfaces with user experience in mind, including Responsive web design for mobile and desktop experiences
• Mobile app development experience is a plus, experience with Xamarin preferred
• Knowledge of SharePoint Development or administration a plus
• Knowledge of IIS configuration a plus

Starting Annual Salary : $78,000-$140,000
