Physical Therapy Technician Part Time Position
Desert Hand and Physical Therapy opened its doors in 1997 with one therapist and an office manager, who shared common goals of providing patients with the best and most qualified upper-extremity care in the Valley of the Sun. Today, Desert Hand and Physical Therapy has grown to 10 locations around the Valley. With Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) at each location and several licensed physical therapists, our team can provide expert individualized treatment to each patient experiencing trauma, illness, or injury.

The Physical Therapy Tech / Aide will assist the Office Coordinator and clinician by performing requested administrative and clinical duties. This is a part-time role, you will work less than 30 hours per week. You will greet patients as they arrive to the clinic and work alongside the clinicians during treatment. These duties will be conducted in compliance with state practice act requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Prepares patients for treatments, assists during the administration of treatments, and provides routine treatmentAssists patient to put on and remove supportive devices, such as braces, splints and slings, before and after treatmentsSafeguards, motivates, and assists patients practicing exercises and functional activities under the direction of professional staffProvides routine treatments, such as hot / cold packs, and other modalities, such as Ultrasounds and electrical stimulation.Cleans the work area and equipment after treatmentMay inventory and requisition supplies and equipmentWashes linens / towels, folds, and maintains linen cabinetsMaintaining restrooms and another areas such as windows as needed. Restocks with paper towels, tissue paper, soap, and suppliesAssists the office coordinator with answering phones and scheduling appointmentsAssists office coordinator with keeping track of both non-medical and medical supplies for the clinicWilling to travel to other nearby clinics if neededQualifications :
