Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant

Overview : The Village at Mercy Creek, a part of Franciscan Ministries, is a lively senior living community that focuses on providing exceptional care for our residents. We are currently seeking dedicated Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistants to work every other weekend as part of our expanding team!

Position Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will be instrumental in promoting the dignity, independence, and wellbeing of our residents. Your role will involve assisting with various activities of daily living, providing medication reminders, and supporting social and spiritual engagement. You will also ensure personal care and monitor the physical and cognitive health of those in your care.

Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities :

• Assist residents with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders, adhering to care plans and community policies.
• Help residents with lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transporting safely.
• Assist with dining services during mealtimes, which includes setup, cleanup, meal delivery, and aiding residents with their meals.
• Observe and monitor residents’ physical and cognitive health, promptly reporting any changes to nursing staff.
• Deliver nutritional supplements at scheduled times and assist residents to ensure proper intake.
• Engage participants in life enrichment activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Document care and assistance accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform additional tasks as required.
• Adhere strictly to community policies and procedures.

Position Requirements :

Education : High School Diploma or GED

Licenses / Certifications : Certified Nursing Certification may be required in accordance with state regulations.

Experience : 1+ years of experience, either paid or volunteer, in working with seniors is preferred.
