Overview

System (Industrial) Engineer – Location : Indianapolis, IN Compensation : $120,000 – $140,000 / year

Our client is a leading manufacturer of additive machines specializing in metal 3D printing. They are seeking a System (Industrial) Engineer to join their growing team. This position has a key role in driving operational efficiency and process improvement across the manufacturing facility. This role supports the design, implementation, and optimization of systems and workflows on the manufacturing floor, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in manufacturing or logistics environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve operational processes to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and optimize resources utilization.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for production and logistics issues.
• Support the deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions.
• Develop and maintain standard work, process documentation, and training materials.
• Utilize data analytics tools to monitor performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in new equipment installations, layout planning, and capacity modeling.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
