We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Superintendent to join our team supporting a Bio Pharma Construction Project in Richmond, VA. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated success managing large-scale base build projects, possess at least 5 years of Bio Pharma project experience, and bring strong organizational, technical, and leadership skills. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This is an onsite position in Richmond, VA. Candidates must be local, open to relocation with an approved package, or able to support the project onsite through a per-diem arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure alignment with project goals for safety, quality, schedule, and budget.

Plan, organize, and supervise multiple project phases from inception through design, construction, commissioning, and close-out.

Maintain productive relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Communicate project status effectively to client management, stakeholders, and external partners.

Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.

Utilize construction management tools such as Microsoft Project and Excel to track progress and performance indicators.

Prepare detailed reports and project documentation and collaborate closely with the Facilities Operations and Engineering teams.

Coordinate with local government agencies and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement across all trade partners.

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of Bio Pharma construction experience.

Minimum 7+ years of base build construction experience within large-scale industrial or life sciences projects.

Experience working directly with a General Contractor or Electrical / Mechanical Subcontractor.

Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.

Proficiency in construction management software and lean construction practices.

OSHA 10 and / or OSHA 30 certification required.

Ability and willingness to expand technical expertise and grow with project needs.

Education

AA degree in construction management or equivalent experience preferred.
