Job Title : Junior Staff Accountant

Location : Irvine, CA

Temp to Hire, 100% onsite

Position Summary :

Our client, a growing provider of in-home care services is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to support its finance operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience in QuickBooks. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for reconciliations and transactional accounting duties that ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across multiple accounts.

Key Responsibilities :

Bank & Journal Entry Management

Upload journal entries and match them with corresponding bank transactions.

Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.

Accounts Receivable (A / R)

Reconcile charges and payments from each account to the correct category in QuickBooks.

Confirm inbound payment amounts in bank accounts with the Billing team to ensure accurate posting to client accounts in WellSky.

Perform monthly reconciliation of A / R between WellSky and QuickBooks.

Input A / R data from WellSky into QuickBooks.

Accounts Payable (A / P)

Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.

Maintain accurate records of A / P transactions and assist with month-end close.

Transactional & Administrative Duties

Maintain organized financial records and documentation.

Assist with internal audits and compliance reporting.

Support payroll reconciliation and data entry as needed.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues.

Qualifications :

A Degree in accounting or finance highly preferred

2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or home care services.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay Details : $27.00 to $31.25 per hour
