VP, Investments Counsel - Global Investment Firm

We are currently partnered with a Global Investment firm that is growing rapidly and looking to add a senior Investment Management attorney to join their elite legal team. This hire will be responsible for providing strategic legal support to their growing Insurance Asset Management team. This role will play a critical part in advising on investment transactions, regulatory matters, and other legal aspects.

You will be the lead attorney and help the team raise capital and bring on new clientele. This role will be very entrepreneurial focused and help support the CIO & GC on the structuring and negotiation of high-level transactions.

Responsibilities :

• Support the legal team on investment transactions across a wide range of asset classes, including private placements, fund finance, structured products, alternatives, and residential whole loans
• Responsible for negotiating and closing investment management agreements
• Work collectively with portfolio managers, operations, and other business units to support investments
• Negotiate transaction documents and other agreements, including nondisclosure agreements, term sheets, subscription agreements, side letters, vendor agreements, etc.
• Work collaboratively with outside counsel on specialized transactions
