Electrician Position
Raleigh Water is seeking two skilled electricians to join our Resource Recovery Division. In this role, you'll install, test, maintain, and repair a wide variety of electrical systems and components that keep our facilities running safely and efficiently. You'll troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, identify fixture and equipment failures, and determine whether repair or replacement is needed. The position also maintains accurate records of all work performed and may assist with general facility maintenance as needed. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of diagnosing complex electrical issues with accuracy and efficiency. Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience :
High School diploma or (GED) and 1 to 3 years' experience as a journey level electrician or related work OR Any equivalent combination of training and / or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted

Work Environment and Physical Effort : Medium : Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work is typically performed in an office or similar indoor environment, an outdoor environment, or in a vehicle. Employees may occasionally work in a street environment (near moving traffic), construction site, confined space, warehouse environment, or shop environment. Work Exposures : Work in this position does not require frequent environmental exposures. Employees may occasionally be exposed to individuals who are hostile or irate, extreme cold (below 32 degrees), extreme heat (above 100 degrees), moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals or substances, or loud noises (85+ decibels average over 8-hour working day such as heavy trucks, jack hammers, leaf blowers, lawn mowers, construction).
