Sales Director – Maui
Position Summary :
We are looking for an innovative and results-driven Sales Director to lead revenue growth initiatives across key business segments, including group sales, transient bookings, and catering. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker who can anticipate market trends, analyze competitive positioning, and implement creative solutions to exceed revenue goals. The Sales Director will oversee a high-performing sales team, manage budgets, and ensure alignment with the property’s overall business objectives.
Salary : $150K - $170K
Core Responsibilities :
- Drive revenue growth across group, transient, and catering segments through strategic planning and execution.
- Monitor and respond to market trends, competitive activity, and shifts in market share.
- Serve as the customer advocate, ensuring guest needs and feedback are integrated into business strategies.
- Analyze data from tools such as STR reports, financial statements, sales forecasts, and group pace reports to inform decision-making.
- Stay ahead of market dynamics, including demand drivers, economic conditions, and competitive supply.
- Conduct competitive analyses, including SWOT reviews, and evaluate the impact of new market entrants.
- Leverage GEO source data to identify and capitalize on key market opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales deployment strategies to optimize team performance and market coverage.
- Set measurable sales goals and ensure alignment with revenue and market share objectives.
- Oversee group sales pacing, sales activity, and team travel schedules to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.At least 3 years of leadership experience in hotel or resort sales, with a proven track record of success.Skills & Competencies :
Strong ability to collaborate with ownership groups and asset managers.Expertise in sales systems (e.g., Marriott Sales Systems) and property management systems (PMS).Experience working closely with revenue management teams to align strategies and maximize results.In-depth knowledge of market segments and distribution channels, with the ability to craft tailored strategies for each.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Strong interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork and collaboration across departments.Proven success in leading, mentoring, and motivating sales teams to achieve ambitious goals.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
