Neonatologist – Long Beach, CA (Perm Full-Time Position)
Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital in Long Beach, California, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neonatologist to join our esteemed Level IV NICU team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to provide high-quality neonatal care in a collaborative, innovative environment affiliated with the University of California Irvine and Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver expert clinical care to critically ill neonates within a Regional Level IV NICU, managing an average daily census of approximately 55 patients and overseeing around 1,400 admissions annually.
- Collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, Obstetric Hospitalists, and a broad spectrum of pediatric subspecialists, including a renowned pediatric cardiovascular program.
- Participate in advanced neonatal interventions such as maternal and neonatal transport, whole-body cooling, inhaled nitric oxide therapy, palliative care, telemedicine, and care for a specialized Small Baby Unit.
- Lead and contribute actively to the NICU’s continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives, maintaining the highest standards of neonatal care.
- Engage in academic activities within a vibrant educational environment supported by residency and fellowship programs linked to UC Irvine and CHOC.
- Foster a family-like, team-oriented workplace culture dedicated to compassionate patient care and professional growth.
Qualifications :
Valid medical license in California.Board certification or eligibility in Neonatology.Residency training in Neonatology with strong clinical skills.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to excellence in patient-centered care.Position Details :
Full-time, permanent employment.Residency within the immediate local area is required; relocation assistance may be available.This role is not suitable for locum or visa candidates.Benefits & Compensation :
