Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of all food service operations to provide leadership for the overall planning, control, financial evaluation of programs, service and materials as they relate to the food service operations, consistent with ABM Healthcare standard operating procedures.
- Actualizes ABM Healthcare Mission, Vision and Value statements.
- Maintains professional behavior consistent with role and composure in difficult interpersonal situations.
- Develops, facilitates, and monitors the process for customer service improvement initiatives and suggests new methods that lead to better service.
- Monitors training programs to ensure compliance and completion within given time frames; conducts in-service training as required.
- Follows Universal Precautions / Infection Control Procedures and demonstrates understanding of HIPAA Privacy Act; maintains confidentiality of patient information.
- Directs and monitors all patient and retail operations to ensure consistency across food service areas; coordinates administrative aspects to develop short and long-range plans.
- Participates in annual performance evaluations for department managers and ensures reviews are completed per guidelines and time frames.
- Maintains communication with internal department managers to ensure consistency of operations; completes required facility and ABM Healthcare reports in a timely, professional format.
- Promotes and drives facility TQM / Customer Service initiatives; conducts rounds to meet with customers and implement service recovery as needed.
- Monitors compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements (Health Department, CMS, JCAHO, etc.) and ensures budgetary compliance and positive variances.
- Oversees hiring and training of new employees and maintains employee files, time and attendance records, and HR procedures.
- Demonstrates understanding of age-specific characteristics for the population served and participates in community activities or events as assigned.
- Able to respond to emergencies, travel as needed, and adapt to varying workloads and deadlines.
