Development Director

A non-profit organization that has served Northeast Florida for over 60 years is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Development to help donors shape their giving and create lasting impact in our community. This is a rare opportunity to guide philanthropy in Northeast Florida-building relationships, stewarding generosity, and turning vision into action.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward new and existing fundholders, helping donors open funds and direct their giving
- Provide relationship management and philanthropic services for a portfolio of fundholders
- Respond to donor and advisor inquiries with insight and professionalism
- Prepare and review fund documentation, amendments, and gift planning strategies
- Represent the organization at community and professional events
- Collaborate on marketing, communications, and donor engagement initiatives
- Maintain accurate donor records in Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or professional designations (JD, CPA, CFP, CLU, ChFC) desirableAt least 5 years of nonprofit development experience, with emphasis on major and / or planned giftsWorking knowledge of planned giving vehiclesExceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, and exercise excellent judgmentChartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation or willingness to obtain with the organizations supportCompensation & Benefits
