Are you a detail-driven finance professional who thrives on balancing accuracy with big-picture thinking? We’re looking for a Senior Financial Accountant / Assistant Controller to join our team and play a critical role in strengthening our financial operations.
In this role, you’ll oversee complex accounting tasks, ensure compliance with GAAP, and provide timely, accurate financial insights that drive smart business decisions. You’ll also manage treasury operations—helping us optimize cash flow, maintain strong internal controls, and support the continued growth of our business.

What You'll Do :
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and monthly close
- Prepare support schedules for cash, fixed assets, depreciation, customer deposits, etc..
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Support annual audits, liaising with external auditors and preparing audit schedules.
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Monitor and strengthen internal controls, recommending process improvements.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure accurate recording and timely filing of Sales Tax
- Record AP from Vendor statements and reconcile balances
- Intercompany Reconciliations
- Support system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements in accounting / ERP systems
- Manage daily cash flow and forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity
- Assist in daily cash management, including monitoring balances, forecasting cash flow, and ensuring liquidity.
- Support the execution of treasury transactions such as payments (wires / ACH / checks), and funding.
- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts and treasury reports for management review.
- Help manage relationships with banks, and other financial partners
- Manage Credit and Fuel card programs
- Maintenance of vehicle files and coordination with vehicle manufacturers
- Verify payments for vehicle sales and process necessary paperwork
- Record Capex purchases in software programs to obtain national rebates
- Monitor, audit and control Small Package spending (FedEx, UPS, USPS)
What You Bring :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.5+ years of progressive accounting / finance experience, with strong knowledge of GAAP.Prior experience in public accounting and / or industry preferred.Strong knowledge of cash management, management and treasury operationsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP / accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks).Experience with CDK software a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to interact with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.Experience in trucking industry a plusExperience with leasing operations a plusFLSA : exempt
Salary : $110,000
