Job Description

Support the Controller in managing day-to-day accounting operations. Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accurate financial records. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Help lead the month-end and year-end close processes. Maintain and strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Coordinate with external auditors during audits and support audit preparation. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and finance. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus. 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close and financial reporting processes. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments. Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
