Inventory Specialist
Join a dynamic and fast-paced team as an Inventory Control Specialist, where you'll be pivotal in managing inventory and ensuring the availability of components for the production of advanced technology. This role is crucial in delivering state-of-the-art technology to the Department of Defense.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory items.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries of components and materials.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
- Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that incoming materials meet established quality standards.
- Identify and address quality issues promptly.
- Generate inventory reports, including stock levels, usage, and trends.
- Maintain documentation related to inventory processes and transactions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve inventory control procedures and systems.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal security protocols for handling sensitive materials.
- Safeguard inventory against theft, damage, and unauthorized access.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and logistics.
- Communicate inventory-related issues and recommendations to management.
Essential Skills
At least 2 years of recent experience in inventory control supporting a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in ERP systems.Experience in moving, lifting, and rearranging heavy equipment or parts.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work within ambiguity.Confident communicator and adaptable in dynamic situations.Must be a U.S. Person.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft applications.Ability to lift 50+ lbs.Forklift operation experience.Experience working in the early stages of a start-up or supporting the Department of Defense.Why Work Here?

Work in a climate-controlled industrial manufacturing and warehousing environment with a driven and collaborative culture. The team includes many former Navy / military personnel, fostering a friendly and driven workplace. The position initially starts at one location and will transition to a new site by next summer. The role involves 2nd shift positions from 2 : 30pm-11pm, with potential weekend work as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
