Position Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg Location : Brooksville, FL Position Type : Full-Time, Permanent Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg team. This role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with departmental requirements and state nursing standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, acting as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers. Schedule Full-time Days and nights (rotating weekends) Key Responsibilities Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes. Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action for any adverse reactions. Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough documentation. Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating needs and resolving issues. Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures. Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards. Qualifications Current RN license in the state of Florida Associate Degree or higher in Nursing Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification (to be obtained within 30 days of employment) Minimum 1 year of acute care experience, preferably in a hospital setting; candidates from LTACH, Home Health, or Rehab settings may also be considered Unit Details 46-bed unit covering Medical Overflow Post-Surgical patients Patient ratio : 1 : 6 Includes telemetry and some oncology admissions Additional Information Onsite presence is mandatory Night and weekend differentials available National certification incentives offered Relocation considered on a case-by-case basis Benefits Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off and retirement plans Sign-on incentives and other employee benefits
