Position Summary
Installers are responsible for supporting construction and installation activities across a variety of project sites. This includes performing general labor tasks such as carrying and staging materials, assisting skilled trades, and helping ensure the job site is clean, safe, and organized. While experience with low voltage systems is a plus, it is not required. This role requires strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in construction, assembly, and installation of building components, structures, and site logistics.
- Carry, load, and move materials, tools, and products throughout the job site.
- Support skilled trades (electricians, low voltage installers, etc.) with tasks such as staging, holding, or preparing equipment.
- Perform general labor duties including demolition, cleanup, sweeping, and removal of debris.
- Help with setting up and maintaining temporary work areas, barriers, and safety equipment.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment safely.
- Assist in the installation of items such as racks, caging, floor structures, or containment systems under supervision.
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries; immediately report unsafe conditions.
- Work with the project team to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
- Maintain organized workspaces and help with logistics such as receiving, unloading, and staging deliveries.
- Read and follow basic work instructions, site plans, or supervisor directions.
- Travel up to 100% of the time to various project locations as required.
Minimum Qualifications
1+ year of experience in general construction, warehouse, or related labor environment preferred.Must be 18 years or older.Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs regularly.Willingness to travel frequently and work in various job-site environments.Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to safety.Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.Experience with hand tools and basic construction equipment required.Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles (under 26,000 GVW).Certifications such as OSHA-10 / 30 are a plus.Low voltage, metalworking, or welding knowledge and / or certifications in those areas are a plus but not required.Core Competencies

Work is performed in a data center environment, which may include exposure to electrical hazards, noise, and varying temperatures.Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by the needs of the project demands.Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.Lift arms above shoulder level.Lift minimum of 50 pounds.Climb ladders (all types of step ladders, frame ladders, and all size extension ladders). Being able to carry and relocate up to 12 ft. step ladders by oneself. Be able to go up and down stairways daily. Perform work at various heights, up to 90 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, or other safe work areas.Work in restricted areas : switchgear rooms, manholes, vaults, trenches, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, and attics or other spaces required to perform electrical work.Be able to wear all PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).Complete overhead work for a full day assignment.Must be able to make transition from employee parking or street into construction work areas and to gain access to all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by OSHA approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction but acceptable and safe to use.Good vision and hearing (normal or corrected).
