As a Senior Special Procedures Technologist in the Cath Lab at Memorial Hermann Northeast, you will be crucial to supporting complex cardiovascular procedures. Collaborating with skilled physicians and nurses, you will utilize advanced imaging and procedural technologies to provide high-quality, safe, and compassionate care. Minimum Qualifications
- Education : Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Licenses / Certifications :
Certification in Basic or Advanced Life SupportCurrent license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), requiredRegistered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)Experience / Knowledge / Skills :
Ability to lift and maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functionsPrincipal Accountabilities
Perform special and invasive radiology procedures on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures : prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, position patients for exams, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of images.Enter and monitor patient data accurately.Conduct quality assurance on radiology equipment and assist with applications for ACR and other accreditations.Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.Take emergency call within the department as needed.Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to all organization policies and standards while managing resources effectively.Promote professional growth and development by fulfilling continuing education and skills competency requirements, supporting departmental goals that contribute to organizational success, and serving as a mentor and resource to less experienced staff.Demonstrate commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Model the organization's service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.Perform other duties as assigned.
