We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to oversee sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationships for our I&E projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of instrumentation and electrical components, vendor management, and supply chain processes. This role is critical in ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for instrumentation and electrical components and services, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to secure optimal value for the company.
Oversee the procurement lifecycle, from requisition through delivery and invoice payment, to ensure timely and efficient acquisition of materials and services.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to forecast material needs and align procurement with project requirements.
Address and resolve supplier-related issues, including delays, quality concerns, and contract disputes.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to improve procurement efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance for analysis and reporting.
Complete additional tasks as assigned to support overall team and project success.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience, ideally in the I&E or oil and gas industry.
Strong knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems, components, and materials.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools, with advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and procurement processes.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Primarily office-based with occasional project demands.
Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring adaptability and precision.
