Description : Job Summary :
The Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity (EID) Coordinator will support the Office of EID initiatives including but not limited to pathway program support, general project management, EID outreach and engagement, communications, events, and training for the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J.
Tyson School of Medicine (KPSOM).
Essential Responsibilities :
- The EID Coordinator is responsible but not limited to :
- EID Outreach and Engagement :
- Coordinates efforts with the Office of Student Affairs and Office of Community Engagement on outreach and engagement plans.
- Maintains an inventory and registration of active pathway programs and assists in the new program development.
- EID Event Coordination :
- Coordinates events including workshops, affinity group-initiated programs, meetings with pathway partners, and other events by request.
- Responsible for event logistics such as set-up and media support (in-person and / or virtual), material preparation, scheduling, registration, space reservation, catering, budget tracking, expense reporting, and pre-event and post-event surveys in collaboration with Business Consultant(s) and the Offices of Information Technology and Facilities.
- Communications :
- Maintains SharePoint and EID and schoolwide calendars with EID events and trainings.
- Maintains EID communications including creating printed and electronic communications, updating EID website content, designing presentations, fliers, and reports, and archiving EID marketing and communications as needed.
- Maintains listservs and access such as the EID Committee of the Student Council, EID Affinity Groups, Kaiser Permanente, and KPSOM EID Community Group.
- Conducts and documents related environmental scans.
- Project Management :
- Provides project management, analysis, administrative, and operational services.
- Coordinates projects within defined areas to meet the overall timelines by working with necessary subject matter experts.
- Gathers program evaluation data, analyzes data in collaboration with the department team members, and prepares necessary reports of qualitative and quantitative evaluations of projects and programs.
- Academic and Co-Curricular EID Training :
- Tracks required EID trainings for various collaborators and generates reports.
- Archives training documentation as needed.
- Special Projects and Other Duties : As assigned
Basic Qualifications :
Experience
Minimum two (2) year of program coordination, operations, project management, or related experience.
Education
- Bachelors degree or four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration

Additional Requirements :
- May be required to pack materials and set up spaces for EI&D recruitment trips and events.
- Occasional off-site travel will be required.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with the development or support of pathway programs.
- Experience supporting EID programs or events within higher, professional, or medical education settings.
- Masters degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and identify functional requirements.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving, rational thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong project and time management skills and capability to handle multiple priorities.
