Employee Relations Coordinator

Location : Administration Offices

Department : Human Resources

Reports to : Human Resources Manager

Status : Full-time | Non-Exempt | Temp to Hire

Pay : $30.14 per hour

Position Summary :

The Employee Relations Coordinator serves as a vital link between the Human Resources department and employees throughout the organization. This position plays a key role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and transparent workplace culture that aligns with Just Culture principles promoting accountability, learning, and open communication. Youll support employee relations processes, investigations, and compliance efforts, while serving as a trusted resource for staff and management.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Guide managers on fair, constructive coaching and corrective action using Just Culture principles
  • Collaborate with leaders on performance improvement plans and disciplinary steps
  • Support and track workers compensation claims and interactive processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Conduct or assist with employee relations investigations
  • Review and process terminations and separations
  • Assist with HR compliance audits and reporting
  • Communicate HR policy updates and reinforce organizational standards
  • Qualifications :

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of HR generalist or employee relations experience required
  • PHR / SPHR or other HR certification preferred
  • Nonprofit or healthcare HR experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills verbal, written, and presentation
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive situations
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver high-quality results under deadlines
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a supportive workplace
