We are seeking a skilled and dedicated L&D RN Traveler for a 13-week travel nurse contract at St. Luke’s Meridian Medical Center in Meridian, ID. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care in a 10-bed L&D unit (with 2 ORs for C-sections, 4 triage beds, and 10 postpartum beds), averaging 120 births per month. This role requires L&D, postpartum, and circulating experience (triage strongly preferred), adherence to AWHONN standards, and the ability to titrate drips in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring patients (32+ weeks), elective / medical inductions, stable antepartum, postpartum, and well newborns.Maintain AWHONN ratios : 1 : 1 in active L&D, 1 : 6 couplet care in postpartum.Circulate in 2 OR suites for C-sections; triage experience strongly preferred.Titrated drips per protocol (primarily Pitocin, magnesium, rarely insulin).Utilize EpicCare Inpatient EMR and GE Connect EFM system.Collaborate with 24 / 7 OB hospitalist, CRNA, Neonatal NP, and on-call Neonatologist (within 15 min).Float to like units within valley (Nampa L&D, Boise L&D) with prior notice (rare, ~20 min drive).Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies.Qualifications
Required :
Active Idaho or Compact RN license in good standing.L&D, postpartum, and circulating experience required; triage experience strongly preferred.Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE (taken at least once), AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring.Ability to work night shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts), weekends / holidays as needed, and float within valley.Scrub color : Blue scrubs provided on unit.Preferred :
Prior travel nursing experience.Schedule
36 hours per week, consisting of three 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM).Weekend and holiday requirements based on unit needs.No more than five shifts in a row per policy.Orientation : Customized, typically 4-6 shifts.Contract length : 13 weeks.Cancellation policy : Client may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.Why Join Us?
