Program Manager

TRL11 is a venture backed deep tech / defense tech startup bringing cutting-edge video technology to Aerospace applications. Based in Irvine, CA, we are seeking a highly passionate person Program Manager who will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams in the execution of aerospace programs and product development from start through delivery. This includes managing schedules, budgets, product development life cycle, and new product introduction for TRL11's space-rated imaging and video products. The Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact between the company and its customers, ensuring that all project objectives align with customer requirements and company goals. Responsibilities:

1. Will define project goals, scopes and deliverables for the internal team
2. Will be responsible for managing product development of multiple products from start to finish, ensuring that hardware and software deliverables are appropriately defined, developed, integrated, tested, and delivered
3. Will lead design reviews (CDR, PDR’s) both internally and with external stakeholders
4. Act as the primary point of contact for all communications with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
5. Manage budgets and personnel for multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements

1. Minimum 5 years of experience on hardware engineering projects or programs, preferably in aerospace setting
2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business management or a related field. PMP Certification is preferred
3. Experience managing complex projects and bringing together multiple teams to execute on a product, including engineering, marketing, procurement, and manufacturing
4. Familiarity with qualification and integration of spacecraft systems is preferred
5. Familiarity with spacecraft concepts of operations is preferred
6. Prior experience leading or contributing to government programs is preferred
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, familiarity with lean engineering and agile methodologies
8. In depth understanding of business systems and processes such as enterprise resource management (ERP) and product lifecycle management (PLM)
