Responsibilities Work in a Level III NICU within a hospital setting Care for neonatal patients requiring advanced interventions including phototherapy, ventilator support, and vasopressors Schedule consists of three 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00-19 : 30) per week Weekend coverage required every other weekend or as needed Floating required to PICU and CTICU based on census Uses Epic EMR system Will care for critically ill neonates with complex needs May be required to float to other critical care pediatric units based on census Modules and Epic training (approximately 8 hours) must be completed prior to start Up to 5 days of pre-approved time off allowed; no time off on Black Friday or during December 21-23 Locals are accepted with role-specific details Requirements Active CA RN license required and must be in hand at the time of consideration Minimum 2 years of NICU RN experience required Certified in BLS and Advanced NRP Ability to perform advanced NICU skills including phototherapy, tube feeding / gavage, PICC and peripheral line management, blood product administration, anti-seizure medications, caffeine, vasopressors, treating neonatal abstinence, phlebotomy, bubble CPAP, HFNC, and ventilator care Epic documentation experience preferred First-time travelers accepted if they meet the experience requirement Previous permanent staff at this hospital system not eligible Must have a clean Nursys record Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626609.
