We’re seeking a qualified Estimator to come join our team.

POSITION SUMMARY The role of cost estimator works in an office setting collecting and analyzing data in order to assess the time, money, materials, and labor required to make a product or provide a service.

The estimator will map out all of the human and material resources needed for building modular projects and use these predictions to determine the projected cost of each project while maintaining established profit margins.

RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares estimates of cost of materials, labor, equipment, subcontracts for modular projects based on schematic drawings and project specifications Collects all pertinent project documents including plans, technical drawings, and project specifications.

Receives RFQ from sales or engineering department; gathers any additional documentation and information relative to the project i.e., drawings, nonstandard items, and / or technical information.

Compares material list from RFQ to the project drawing; resolves discrepancies by consulting with appropriate personnel from sales or engineering departments or technical support.

Contacts vendors for pricing on nonstandard items.

Calculates costs and creates estimate by entering data into Quoteworks.

Accounts for the use of our resources, plus a reasonable profit margin to calculate an overarching price.

Produces a complete project estimate package and submits for approval.

Creates and processes sales orders and change orders.

Promotes a positive working environment conducive to a team atmosphere in alignment with the Allied Modular culture.

The employee will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the supervisor QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED 2-3 years of estimating experience 2-3 years of construction experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office; quoting system and CRM experience preferred Ability to multi-task and move between multiple computer applications quickly is essential Must be organized and have a high regard for attention to detail Dependable, conscientious, and well-spoken Job requires extreme accuracy in data entry and the review of supporting documentation Proficient in math is required SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear.

Employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 15 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
