ITEC / DEFI / FIN Business Analyst
The ITEC / DEFI Business Analyst for FIN will be responsible for production support services and project development / implementations. The Business Analyst will report to the ITEC / DEFI / FIN Manager.
FIN activities consist of financing products – loans, letter of credits, discount loans, and guarantees. Technologies employed to support these activities include MYSIS LOAN IQ and series of applications that act as interfaces to Basel 2 initiative, money transfer, general ledger, money market funding, and risk systems. Additional responsibilities also include supporting existing reports and new reports development.
The primary responsibility is to gather, analyze, document, and validate the needs of the business stakeholders. The business analyst will use the full range of business analysis skills including : user interface, interviewing, workflow analysis, testing, documentation, gap analysis and specification writing. Production Support is another key responsibility of the Business Analyst.
Responsibilities include :
Elicit business requirements from business users and subject matter experts
Analyze and prioritize requirements
Define and document requirements
Write functional specifications
Creation of test plans and test scripts
Model the requirements / specifications
Perform business process design in conjunction with operations teams
Lead requirements validation and traceability analysis
Manage scope and requirements throughout the project lifecycle
Lead development of common standards and tools
Assist in operational rollout and support
Define and implement accounting mapping for commercial lending activities
Manage base code table changes in Loan IQ.
Production Support Services for Business related Issues
Experience performing business analysis activities for large, complex financial software systems, as well as :
5-8 years of financial / IT experiences
Experienced with business analysis methodologies, modeling tools and processes and documentation standards
Experience in / knowledge of capital market, debt instruments, commercial loan operation
Loan IQ with accounting experience preferred
Working knowledge of Oracle SQL, basic XML skills
For the role in working closely with business users and facilitation of communication of requirement, the business analyst should possess :
College degree
Strong analytic skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills to both business users and technical staffs
Effective professional relationship building skills
Consensus building and facilitation skills
Basic project management skills
Ability to execute in an independent fashion
