Nurse Practitioner - Pediatrics physician employment in Florida :

A community health network in Orlando is currently seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant for a promising opportunity at one of their outpatient facilities.

About the Opportunity :

Schedule : Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm, Friday 8am-12pm
Call : Light rotated telephone only call 1 week every 8-10 weeks
Setting : Outpatient community health

Responsibilities :

The Pediatric NP / PA will :

Monitor children's growth, development, and overall health through regular check-ups and well-child visits

Provide vaccinations and immunizations to protect children from various diseases, following recommended schedules and guidelines

Diagnose and treat various illnesses and medical conditions affecting children, such as infections, allergies, asthma, and more

Assess and monitor a child's physical, cognitive, and behavioral development, identifying potential delays or concerns

Address behavioral and mental health issues in children, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders

Provide immediate care for children in emergency situations, stabilizing and treating injuries and acute medical conditions

Manage chronic health conditions in children, such as diabetes, cystic fibrosis, and congenital heart conditions, coordinating care and treatment plans

Conduct various screenings and tests, including vision and hearing tests, blood tests, and developmental assessments, to ensure early detection of any potential health issues

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient, documenting health assessments, treatments, and recommendations

Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications :

Active Florida state Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
