Position :            Assistant Controller

Location :           Midtown, NYC

Salary :                 $85k – $100K

NYC real estate firm seeks an Assistant Controller to join their Team!!

Responsibilities :

• Supervise Accounting department staff of six individuals (including A / R, A / P, Lease administration, Payroll, Accounting and file personnel)
• Reporting to banks, including compliance reports, financial statements and internal reports
• Prepare all information required by outside accountants for year-end reporting
• Review status of tenant arrears with management
• Tenant arrears analysis and resolution
• Tenant lease interpretation for financial issues
• Review NYC required statements prepared by outside accountants for real estate assessments
• Coordinate submission of information to real estate council for tax appeals
• Approved property disbursements requested by management
• Approve accounts payable disbursement requests
• Maintain corporate accounting books
• Review of property accounting reports on monthly basis
• Review and calculate budgets
