Summary of Job Duties : The Education Coordinator monitors the day-to-day operations of center and home-based programs. The Educational Coordinator supervises and provides training to Educational Leader Assistants, teachers, family service workers, and other content specialists in all program areas- health, disabilities, nutrition, education, family literacy, parent involvement, social services, eligibility, recruitment, and mental health.
This position serves as a liaison with community resources for volunteers and other center needs and monitors the allocation of supplies, materials, and equipment as well as inventory control in accordance with UAMS and Head Start guidelines.
This position supervises services and guides to ensure the operations of the EHS / HS facilities coincide with federal and state regulations.
The Education Coordinator will work cooperatively with the program's Leadership team and content area specialist.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in child development, early childhood, early education, education, or related field plus three (3) years of experience coordinating education programs required.

Responsibilities :
Responsible for the supervision of all Early Head Start / Head Start personnel.
Collaborates with community resources for the EHS / HS services and sites.
Oversees all content areas as it relate to the EHS / HS model and regulations.
Monitors sites and children's records to ensure compliance with all state and federal mandates.
Oversees curriculum planning, training, and instructional support for all staff.
Monitors the implementation of the school readiness plans and outcomes of children.
Works with Deputy Directors to receive and maintain Quality through the Better Beginnings.
Coaches and mentor staff and conduct regular reflective supervision.
Provides training to staff as it relates to curriculum and instructional support, builds rapport with families implements the Practiced Based Coaching model, and monitors credentialing of teachers.
Organizes, and schedules project / program implementation phases and procedures, and develops monitoring and reporting systems to measure project effectiveness for sites.
Monitors policies / procedures, licensing requirements, curriculum, assessments, program plans, and school readiness goals.
Performs other duties as assigned.
