Summary :
The Sterile Pharmacy Technician supports licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing sterile and non-sterile medications. This role requires strict adherence to SOPs, USP
standards, and all state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Assist pharmacists with sterile and non-sterile compounding, labeling, and packaging.
- Prepare IV admixtures, reconstitutions, and bulk solutions under supervision.
- Enter prescription and patient information into pharmacy systems with accuracy.
- Prepackage, label, and manage unit-dose or multi-dose medications.
- Maintain cleanroom standards, aseptic technique, and proper documentation.
- Obtain prescriber refill authorizations (no changes allowed).
- Uphold confidentiality of patient records and ensure compliance with pharmacy law.
Qualifications :
Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Florida.High school diploma or equivalent required.Prior sterile compounding or cleanroom experience preferred.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures.Work Environment :
Cleanroom and pharmacy settings, with exposure to chemicals and aseptic gowning requirements.
